Lee Rivas is chief executive officer of the Public Sector and Healthcare business units of LexisNexis Risk Solutions. Named to this position in 2013, Rivas directs the units' strategy, market and product direction, and manages the sales teams for the public sector and healthcare teams. Rivas played a key role in building the company’s healthcare data and analytic assets with the acquisitions of EDIWatch, Enclarity, and Health Market Science. He also serves as president of Elsevier's healthcare global businesses which deliver content-enabled technology solutions to leading hospitals and universities.
Previously, Rivas served as the senior vice president and general manager of the Background Screening business of LexisNexis Risk Solutions, which was acquired by Symphony Technology Group in 2013, and spent time at LexisNexis Legal & Professional as vice president of Sales.
Prior to joining LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Rivas was an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company, a leading global strategy consulting firm. He led client teams focused primarily on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and sales. Rivas started his career as an officer in the U.S. Army where he held several operational leadership roles in tank and armored cavalry units in the U.S. and abroad, and left active duty as a Captain.
Rivas graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point where he was a member of the academic honor society Phi Kappa Phi and holds a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
