LexisNexis Risk Solutions
COVID-19 Resources

Updated June 19, 2020

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our offices around the globe have banded together - and with external partners - to find innovative ways to assist with public health and safety and help society as whole. Here are a few of the ways that LexisNexis® Risk Solutions is working to minimize the spread and impact of COVID-19.

Global COVID-19 Spread Tracking Project

The Global COVID-19 Spread Tracking project was created to help advance the battle against the COVID-19 crisis by using data analytics to provide a holistic picture of what is happening and has happened on the ground. In partnership with Florida Atlantic University and National Science Foundation, the Global COVID-19 Spread Tracking project provides researchers and academics who are at the forefront of COVID-19 fight with a customizable dashboard that analyzes open sourced data assets from Johns Hopkins University, The Atlantic’s COVID Tracking Project and other open data sources. The dashboard is only made available to those who are actively working to help society either in the U.S. or around the globe.

COVID-19 Resource Center

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is committed to supporting the United States health response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our Health Care team created the COVID-19 Resource Center, which combines our unique data and analytics together with that of other industry stakeholders. The unique interactive visualization provides insights on at-risk populations and care capacity challenges; helping to answer two critical questions:

  • Which communities are most at-risk for poorer health outcomes due to COVID-19?
  • Which communities are in most need of critical care resources to help combat the impact of COVID-19 in their region?

These resources help healthcare, public health and policy leaders make important decisions about at-risk populations and care resources to enable the best possible outcomes.

Stimulus Loan Program Assistance

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is providing solutions and support to a growing number of financial institutions and Fintech customers as they gear up to participate in the U.S. Small Business Stimulus loan program. We have two goals: The first is to help small businesses get the funding they desperately need to survive and the second is to help our customers regain decision-making assurance and manage risk confidently through uncertain times.

One example of LexisNexis Risk Solutions fulfilling these goals is through our customers’ increased use of InstantID to verify identities, spot fraud and uncover identity discrepancies in real time. Another example is that our customers, such as online business lenders, are leveraging RiskView to help their customers navigate COVID-19 relief financing options related to the stimulus program through predictive intelligence that goes beyond traditional credit bureau scoring.

Helping Law Enforcement Support Citizens

We are all adapting to new ways of working, and this is also true of law enforcement officers who need to continue to respond to crime, assist citizens and keep communities safe while applying social distancing. With its web-based tools, Coplogic Solutions is uniquely positioned to support law enforcement by enabling online access to non-emergency agency services such as citizen self-reporting and crash report distribution. The ability to report minor crimes online not only reduces face-to-face interaction but also gives communities one less reason to walk into a police station, therefore helping to limit the spread of the virus. Law enforcement agencies across the US have recently turned to the media to encourage and remind communities to use our online solutions whenever possible.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions Cares

Through our Cares program, LexisNexis Risk Solutions is supporting U.S. first responders through Operation Gratitude, HEROES, Inc. and the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association Foundation and education initiatives for children in crisis through the Global Business Coalition for Education.

Operation Gratitude, with nearly two decades of history, has launched a campaign to ship "Jumbo Care Packages" to COVID-19 Frontline Responders.

  • Operation Gratitude, the largest and most impactful nonprofit in the country for hands-on volunteerism in support of military, veterans, and first responders, has launched a campaign to ship “Jumbo Care Packages” to COVID-19 first responders with hygiene items, coffee, snacks and letters of appreciation.
  • HEROES Inc. provides scholarships to the children of Washington D.C. first responders who have died from COVID-19.
  • The Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association Foundation will assist families who have lost their first-responder loved one to COVID-19.
  • The Global Business Coalition for Education, a movement of businesses committed to ending the global education crisis is working to minimize the long-term impacts of COVID-19 on the next generation by finding unique ways to restore education around the world.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions employees around the world are contributing to their local and global communities by participating in in-person and virtual volunteer activities coordinated through our Cares program, which offers employees 16 hours of paid volunteer time per calendar year. Right now, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, that contribution has never been more important so employees are also supporting organizations of their own choosing through the program. LexisNexis Risk Solutions also offers a robust matching gift program at the Corporate and individual level.
