As COVID-19 events dynamically unfold, LexisNexis Risk Solutions holds the safety and well-being of employees, customers, candidates and communities as our first priority, and our thoughts continue to be with everyone in all affected countries.

To minimize the effects on our employees and the potential to spread the virus, we have implemented a range of measures for our employees in different office locations around the world for candidate interviewing.  We recognize that these are unsettling times and whether you are preparing for an interview now or in the future, we want you to know that your safety and wellbeing are paramount.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions recruitment teams are working closely with hiring managers to follow site-specific instructions along with the below outlined approach to interviewing candidates over the next few weeks. We have stopped all non-essential travel and asked all our employees to follow hygiene and government recommendations, to practice social distancing, and self-isolate if feeling unwell and where possible, we encourage our staff to work virtually to stay connected to customers, colleagues and candidates.  Our guidance for candidate interviews is as follows;

  • Recruiters and interviewers are proactively working with candidates to accommodate and reschedule interviews virtually.
  • We will continue to be flexible and engage candidates virtually using full video conferencing capabilities available to us.
  • We will follow site guidance for face-to-face and final interviews where candidates do not have a video conference option to connect.

Tips for a successful virtual interview

To set/enhance the tone, a seamless connection and overall, positive interview for you, we’ve created a few tips to help set you up for success!

  • Stay connected - confirm connectivity before the interview, set your status to busy and turn off your phone ringer, if applicable
  • Set the scene - identify a quiet, private spot and ensure the background is not distracting. Try to avoid pets or other people entering the room or walking behind you
  • Dress professionally - remember this may set the tone for your first impression to LexisNexis Risk Solutions; be camera ready
  • Be Prepared – Have your resume and pen readily available
  • Maintain good eye contact – don’t be distracted by emails or chats popping up, focus on the interviewer
  • Be Yourself: Authentic and make it a two-way conversation

We want to thank you in advance for your interest in LexisNexis Risk Solutions. We’re looking forward to getting to know interviewees and new employees face-to-face as soon as it’s safe for everyone involved. For the meantime, we hope you have an exceptional interview experience and enjoy meeting with the recruiter and hiring manager virtually.
