About the Role

The Director, Business Transformation & Enablement is a Finance Leadership Team member responsible for leading the modernization and continuous improvement of the Finance organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role develops and executes a multi-year transformation strategy that advances Finance capabilities through technology, artificial intelligence, automation, analytics, process redesign, and organizational change.

The Director serves as the central leader responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and delivering initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness, increase employee productivity, enhance decision-making, and strengthen Finance's ability to support business growth. Working closely with Finance leadership, Technology, Data & Analytics, HR, and business stakeholders, this role drives the adoption of new capabilities and ensures transformation investments generate measurable business value.

Success in this position requires a unique combination of strategic vision, operational leadership, change management expertise, and the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader who can translate ideas into execution while building a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technology-enabled problem solving.

Responsibilities

Transformation Strategy & Roadmap

  • Develop and maintain a multi-year Finance Transformation Strategy aligned with Finance and business objectives.
  • Partner with Finance Leadership Team members to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and business impact.
  • Establish and govern a prioritized portfolio of transformation initiatives based on business value, organizational readiness, cost, complexity, and risk.
  • Define future-state operating models, capabilities, and organizational structures to support Finance's evolving needs.
  • Develop business cases and investment recommendations for transformation initiatives.

Organizational Assessment & Process Improvement

  • Evaluate Finance processes, workflows, reporting, systems, and organizational capabilities across all Finance functions.
  • Identify sources of manual effort, inefficiency, duplication, and low-value activities.
  • Lead process redesign initiatives that improve scalability, standardization, and productivity.
  • Assess organizational maturity and establish benchmarks to measure progress over time.
  • Promote continuous improvement methodologies and best practices across Finance.

AI, Automation & Technology Enablement

  • Lead adoption of AI, automation, analytics, and productivity technologies across the Finance organization.
  • Identify and prioritize use cases that deliver measurable business outcomes and employee productivity gains.
  • Partner with Technology, Data, and Enterprise AI teams to leverage existing platforms and capabilities.
  • Drive implementation of tools including Copilot, workflow automation, analytics, reporting, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Ensure all initiatives comply with governance, security, compliance, and enterprise standards.

Change Leadership & Adoption

  • Develop and execute change management strategies for major transformation initiatives.
  • Lead communication, training, and enablement efforts to accelerate adoption and value realization.
  • Establish networks of transformation champions and subject matter experts across Finance.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Support leaders and employees in adopting new ways of working and technology-enabled processes.

Transformation Portfolio & Program Management

  • Govern the Finance transformation portfolio and ensure alignment to strategic priorities.
  • Establish project governance, milestones, success metrics, and reporting frameworks.
  • Monitor initiative progress, risks, dependencies, resource requirements, and outcomes.
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to the CFO, Finance Leadership Team, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ensure initiatives remain focused on delivering measurable business results.

Analytics & Value Realization

  • Define KPIs and success metrics for transformation initiatives.
  • Measure adoption rates, productivity improvements, cycle-time reductions, automation benefits, and business outcomes.
  • Track value realization and return on investment for transformation programs.
  • Develop executive dashboards and reporting to communicate progress and outcomes.
  • Use data and insights to continuously refine priorities and investment decisions.

Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing Business Transformation & Enablement capability as the function matures.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop transformation professionals and future team members.
  • Foster strong collaboration across Finance, Technology, Data, HR, and business functions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Finance leaders on modernization opportunities and organizational effectiveness.
  • Promote a high-performance culture focused on execution, accountability, innovation, and measurable impact.

Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in Finance, Transformation, Consulting, Operations, Technology, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale organizational transformation and change initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, operating models, organizational effectiveness, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing technology-enabled business solutions and productivity improvements.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed organizations and lead through ambiguity.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Accounting, Shared Services, Finance Operations, or Finance Systems.
  • Experience with AI, machine learning, automation, analytics, Power BI, Power Automate, Copilot, or similar technologies.
  • Consulting or enterprise transformation leadership experience.
  • Experience developing transformation roadmaps, business cases, and value realization frameworks.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, PMP, Prosci, or similar professional certifications.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide productivity or modernization programs.

Additional location(s): London Wall; Surrey

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $118,300 - $219,800. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.
