PARIS — LexisNexis® Risk Solutions will join experts from France’s top insurance and automotive companies at a major event organized by L’Argus de l’assurance magazine to discuss the upcoming challenges, in this new decade, to the relationship with P&C customers. Because of Covid-19, the day-long event will be conducted in a hybrid format: attendees can choose to participate in person or online, in case they need or prefer to keep social distancing. There will have two plenary sessions and eight customer-oriented workshops.

Christian Kuhn, Vice President for Business Development Europe at LexisNexis® Risk Solutions, will take part in the workshop ‘New Challenges for Auto Claims Management’, along with experts from PSA, a leading French car manufacturer, MACIF and AXA, both among the top auto insurers in France. The session will cover:

  • Auto insurance, a pioneer in self-care and connected claims management?
  • Which partnerships to control the rising cost of car repairs
  • New mobility: what is the claims experience for very short-term rental and vehicle lending?

He will set out insights from the value analysis studies LexisNexis® Risk Solutions has carried out on the impact of ADAS vehicle technology features on insurance claims and other risk metrics on nearly one million vehicles. Some of these findings have been shared with insurance providers in Italy, Spain and UK. France and Germany are coming next in the program, prior to the launch of the LexisNexis® Vehicle Build classification in these countries in 2021. The service is currently live in the US, and under value analysis in Spain, Italy and the UK. It is helping insurance providers apply risk intelligence derived from the thousands of ADAS types, components, options and combinations in the vehicle fleet, down to the level of an individual Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

ADAS and connected car data provided by LexisNexis® have also been useful to help insurers and OEMs to offer an advanced service at FNOL (first notice of loss), such as proactively calling the driver if a crash is detected and allocating the right tow truck/ambulance when needed. This data can help to speed up claim management and contribute to reduce legal actions.

Christian Kuhn will show how data from the Vehicle Build classification can be applied at different parts of the insurance process.

“This is the second year we are partnered with L’Argus de l’assurance in this benchmark event for property and casualty insurance,” said Christian Kuhn.

“At LexisNexis Risk Solutions, we are focused on answering both the immediate term and the long term needs for applying vehicle data into insurance processes, for ADAS risk assessment today, and for helping drive the new mobility of the future. I’m looking forward to joining so many top insurance experts to discuss the new challenges the coming decades brings, at a time our lives have been entirely disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.”
