The Hidden Connection Between Modern Slavery and Financial Crime

Why businesses need to understand the risks beyond their immediate operations

Modern slavery and human trafficking are not just humanitarian issues. They can create hidden risks across businesses, supply chains and financial systems.

An estimated 27 million people are in forced labor, while criminal networks continue to generate significant profits from exploitation.

In this episode of APAC Risk Insights – A Conversation That Matters, Matthew Friedman, CEO of The Mekong Club, and Patrick Gwyther, Director and Head of Strategy, Financial Crime Compliance at LexisNexis Risk Solutions, explore the connection between modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labor and financial crime.
