LexisNexis Risk Solutions Telematics Named a Finalist for TU-Automotive Best Insurance Telematics Product or Service

ATLANTA – LexisNexis Risk Solutions is honored to be named a finalist for TU-Automotive’s “Best Insurance Telematics Product or Service” award for its end-to-end telematics solution, which connects telematics data from varying data sources and normalizes it so that it can be seamlessly integrated into usage-based insurance (UBI) programs.

Housed on a device-agnostic telematics exchange platform, the telematics solutions from LexisNexis consist of an end-to-end suite of products that provide insurers, OEMs and consumers with normalized telematics data ready for integration in new or existing UBI programs, regardless of the data sources. This ability to provide standardized data regardless of the data source has become increasing important as auto manufacturers continue to embed telematics into cars at the OEM level.

Telematics solutions for insurance carriers also pull data and insights from LexisNexis proprietary advanced analytics and predictive modeling technology for insurance telematics programs that automatically detects which driver is associated with each trip. Drawing from billions of miles of driving behavior, this type of predictive modeling decreases the amount of customer interaction needed and provides insurers with a new level of confidence in the use of smartphone apps more accurately collecting driver data.
