LexisNexis® Risk Solutions today announced the company will be the presenting sponsor for the Alpharetta Mayor’s Corporate Challenge 5K race on Aug. 28th in historic downtown Alpharetta. The Mayor’s Corporate Challenge is an annual fundraiser hosted by the city of Alpharetta and the Rotary of Club of Alpharetta to raise money in support of a number of local and international projects. Monies raised will be donated to organizations focused on disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, peace/conflict prevention resolution, maternal and child health, basic education and literacy, economic development, and stamping out human trafficking.
“We are looking forward to a great event, as we raise much-needed dollars and awareness of local and global projects. This is going to be a ‘can’t miss’ evening for runners and non-runners alike,” said Karen Nolan, President of the Rotary Club of Alpharetta. “The monies raised will go to organizations, including North Fulton Community Charities, Drake House, StandUpforKids, Lionheart Garden, Ed Isakson/Alpharetta YMCA, City of Refuge, and men and women’s health awareness organizations, among others. We thank LexisNexis, the business community and the residents of Alpharetta for their ongoing support of this event.”

The charity run/walk begins at 5 p.m. with a range of activities for the whole family. The free Kids Fun Run sponsored by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta will begin at 7 p.m. with the 5K race beginning at 7:30 p.m. The evening includes Food Trucks Alley, live music, and charity spotlights supported by the Rotary club.
