LexisNexis Risk Solutions Welcomes Andrew McClenahan from the Office of Public Benefits Integrity at Florida Department of Children and Families

12/19/2019

WASHINGTON, DC — LexisNexis® Risk Solutions today announced that Andrew McClenahan, former Director of the Office of Public Benefits Integrity for the past six years with the Florida Department of Children and Families, has joined its Federal Government Solutions team.

McClenahan will use his 24 years of service in the federal, state and local public sector in the areas of technology, investigations and fraud prevention to design and implement government agency solutions to uphold program integrity. He will consult on operations and data architecture issues with both systems integrators and government agencies to promote efficiency and economy in programs.

“At a time when verifying identity has gotten significantly more dynamic and challenging, Andrew’s considerable expertise in serving both health and human services and law enforcement agencies makes him uniquely qualified,” said Haywood Talcove, CEO, Government, LexisNexis Risk Solutions and LexisNexis Special Services Inc. “His investigative, technical and policy development skills along with his experience serving on multi-agency task forces will aid in achieving program oversight and will provide specific insights with security and data sharing requirements.”

McClenahan served in various sworn capacities with the Tallahassee Police Department for ten years before joining the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. He retired as an Investigative Captain in the Office of the Inspector General for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

“I look forward to replicating the $1 billion in cost savings that were achieved during my tenure at the Florida Department of Children and Families for other agencies with the use of LexisNexis Risk Solutions identity capabilities,” said McClenahan.

McClenahan was recently recognized by the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency for his efforts to successfully investigate one of the largest Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) fraud schemes in U.S. history. He was also a national finalist for StateScoop’s 2019 State Leadership award for helping government implement new technologies and strategies. McClenahan has a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from Florida State University. He is a Certified Public Manager, a Certified Welfare Fraud Investigator, and a Certified Inspector General Investigator.
