BASIC FUNCTIONS: This position performs moderate data management and analysis tasks within a specific functional area or data type. Requires heavy communication with data sources/contacts. QUALIFICATIONS: • 3+ years’ experience in data management area with an analytical competencies demonstrated. • Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering/Computer Science preferred but not required); or equivalent experience required. TECHNICAL SKILLS: • Proficiency with development languages such as SQL, UNIX, Linux, XML, HPCC, etc. • Proficiency with various data types and formats including, but not limited to: XML, flat files, delimited, etc. • Proficiency with data analysis tools and processes. • Excellent proofreading skills to see how data and facts can be linked together to create more meaningful conclusions. • Ability and desire to learn new processes, tools, and technologies. • Good research skills. • Attention to detail. • Good oral and written communications skills. ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Business support through data analysis and research. • Modify pre-designed queries to assess data for research purposes. • Independently run basic data statistics, including coverage stats, field populations, etc. • Run data profiles. • Conducts routine data review and verification and ensures corrections/clarifications are made in a timely manner. • Investigate, track, and report data issues. • Good level of intimacy within a specific data content area. • Provide technical problem solving to less technical teams (customer service, consumer advocacy, etc.). • Undertake and complete new data onboarding and/or production data management functions as assigned/required. • Utilize various data workflow management and analysis tools. • Resolve and/or guide data sources in resolving basic data issues within specific functional area or data type. • Produce basic ad hoc data counts, stats, examples as required. • All other duties as assigned.
