Prasanth Kambhatla

Prasanth Kambhatla is vice president of data science for LexisNexis^® Risk Solutions. In this role, Prasanth is responsible for leading the data science modeling and analytics functions for U.S. Personal Lines Auto, Connected Car and Commercial segments in the U.S. His areas of responsibility include new product innovation and development for underwriting, rating solutions, including credit-based insurance scores, MVR, telematics, data prefill and other risk segmentation scoring models. He also is responsible for supporting the modernization of the analytics platform, including cloud adoption and enablement, machine learning operations and optimizing the analytics technology stack to achieve greater speed to market for analytical solutions.

Prasanth has been with LexisNexis Risk Solutions since 2020, supporting home and property insurance, as well as acquisition and retention solutions for lead generation and evaluation. Prior to that, Prasanth led the data science team at a Fortune 500 specialty lines insurance company, supporting fraud detection, straight-through processing for claims automation and forecasting solutions. Prasanth holds two patents (11948200, 11852728) for developing automated systems for pricing flood insurance and for developing novel geospatial solutions for property risk pricing.

Prasanth holds a Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of Arkansas, a master’s degree in mathematical risk management from Georgia State University and bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Bangalore University, India.
