WASHINGTON, DC — LexisNexis® Risk Solutions deepened its expertise in the areas of risk assessment, fraud prevention and investigation with the addition of Michael Breslin, formerly of the Secret Service and the Senior Executive Service (SES), as Strategic Client Relations director for Federal Law Enforcement. Breslin will play a critical role in further driving the expansion of executive relationships and innovative solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of law enforcement agencies.
Breslin joins the Government Group of LexisNexis Risk Solutions with more than 23 years of federal law enforcement experience working with the United States Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security. Prior to joining LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Breslin served as deputy assistant director for the Office of Investigations for the Secret Service where he oversaw the planning and coordination of investigative responsibilities.
Throughout his career, he has initiated and managed transnational cyber and financial crime investigations of network intrusions and the theft and safeguarding of data and information from corporate, financial and government institutions. He helped develop security solutions which protected U.S. and foreign dignitaries and facilities including the U.S. President, Vice President and visiting heads of state. As the special agent in charge of the Criminal Investigative Division of the Secret Service, Breslin led a staff of 153 administrative, professional, technical and special agents working on counterfeiting, financial, electronic and cybercrimes.
“The addition of Michael as an integral member of our team demonstrates our commitment to attracting top talent that understands where the law enforcement industry is today and the challenges that lie ahead,” said Haywood Talcove, CEO, Government, LexisNexis Risk Solutions and LexisNexis Special Services Inc. “He is a perfect fit to work with Senior Executive Service members in law enforcement agencies charged with protecting and serving the American people.”
Breslin holds a bachelor of arts from St. John’s University, Queens, NY. He also holds a master of science degree in national security strategy and a graduate certificate in business transformation and decision making from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (2011) and a master of public administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice (1995). In January 2015, he completed The Key Executive Leader Certificate program at American University’s School of Public Affairs. Breslin completed the Senior Executive Service program and currently serves on the board of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
“I look forward to drawing on my experience managing a broad base of functions to help the organization stay ahead of market changes and remain a leader in law enforcement,” said Breslin. “I was already familiar with many of the data, intelligence and analytic capabilities of LexisNexis Risk Solutions. I used some of these tools in my investigative and event management mandates.”
