Aerial Imagery to Enhance
Community Safety

Public Safety agencies play a crucial role in keeping our communities safe. They are responsible for ensuring the welfare of both life and property and are expected to respond quickly and effectively at all hours and in all conditions.

When every second counts, and lives are potentially at stake, visibility can be critical. Public Safety teams must be able to access and share accurate location information, site details, and comprehensive situational data. Relying on inefficient analog tools or outdated satellite imagery simply isn’t an option and may put lives at risk.
Oblique aerial imagery equips agencies with the insights needed to plan safer, more effective operations.

Meet our Connected Partner: Eagleview

Single sign-on access to high-resolution aerial imagery, via Eagleview Vault™, provided by Eagleview, is now available in the Accurint Public Safety Marketplace.  The Eagleview’s oblique (side-angled) aerial imagery provide public safety agencies with the visibility and insights needed to plan, prepare, and respond to emergencies and large-scale events while ensuring the safety of first responders and the communities they serve.

Eagleview Vault is a secure, cloud-based imagery platform that provides authorized public safety personnel with on-demand access to high-resolution oblique and orthogonal imagery.  Updated daily with newly captured imagery from across the United States and Canada, Eagleview Vault ensures agencies have access to current, comprehensive property views for operational decision-making. Additionally, Eagleview Vault includes a historical library spanning more than 25 years and nearly 4 billion images, enabling investigators to review past property conditions, identify changes over time, and support case development.

The Eagleview's imagery is taken at a 40-to-50 degree angle from low flying aircraft equipped with a camera system that rapidly captures images from all cardinal direction, enabling comprehensive views of buildings and surrounding property.  Users can rotate 360 degrees around properties or structures to examine critical details such as ingress and egress points, building condition, and potential risks, providing complete situational awareness in full daylight. These perspectives can be combined to deliver additional context and insight that cannot be achieved with orthogonal (top-down) imagery alone and in much greater detail than satellite imagery.

With high-resolution oblique aerial imagery, agencies can:

Help verify 911 caller location and provide visual context so dispatchers and responders can quickly identify the correct structure, access points, and surrounding hazards.

Gain visibility of incident locations with daytime imagery that’s free from debris, smoke, and water

Improve decision making with enhanced situational awareness and a better understanding of a location, scale, and severity of an incident

Assess and share potential hazards, help first responders take appropriate safety precautions, and reduce the risk of accidents and injuries

Facilitate effective communication, provide a common view of the situation, and enable better coordination between agencies
